Behavioural Consultation Services (BCS)
Description of Service
Behavioural Consultation Services provides the following:
- Assessment of adaptive skills and functional assessment of behaviour
- Assistance in the development, implementation, and evaluation of treatment plans and strategies based on the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis
- Caregiver training in the use of behavioural strategies in the individual’s natural system of supports
- Group instruction, workshops, and training in crisis prevention and treatment intervention strategies
Eligibility
Behavioural Consultation Services provide service to children aged 2-13 with intellectual/developmental delays, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and/or exceptional behavioural difficulties; and to adolescents and adults with intellectual/developmental delays and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder. Applicants must reside in the counties of Haliburton, Northumberland, Peterborough, and City of Kawartha Lakes.
